Can you ovulate without having a period?
I only have my period every other month for some reason. I used to be regular but for the past 2 years I have only been have my period every other month. My fiancé and I are trying to have a baby and I was just wondering if you can still ovulate without having your period.

Yes, you can ovulate without having a period. Basically, you could ovulate, fall pregnant, and your period won't come for another 8 months ;)

If you're cycles are 60-ish days, I suggest calling an OB/GYN to have a pre-conception appointment. Your doctor will want to discuss why your cycles are longer than usual and help you prepare your body for pregnancy.

Are you on prenatal vitamins since you are trying for a baby? If not, please start taking them immediately as most neural tube defects happen before mother even knows she's pregnant. :)
