What's wrong with my whirlpool side by side refrigerator's ice maker. I can hear it start to work but I don't think its getting water because there is no ice...

Is there a lever in the icebox that needs to be switched up or down? There might be a lever that was switched up accidentally (or down).

See if you can find the instruction manual online. If you check inside your fridge, there should be a model # and that may be a start.
