How can I hilight red violet hair without turning pink
I currently colored my hair with a 3r and 3rv I typically put hilights in by pulling through a cap. How can I do this and not end up with pink hilights?

Usually, bleach will cut right through the red. I don't think you'll have a problem.

Your color is dark enough that you may not be able to get it to a nice blonde in one process. You can use bleach with 40 volume developer and it will pull most of the color out, but may not get it all at once. If this happens, wait a week, recondition a couple of times throughout that week, and then do it again. Be careful not to hydrolize your hair...

I am a hairdresser as well, all of the bleaches I have have used, 40 vol is NOT supposted to be used with bleach, only high lift tints, 30vol is the highest peroxide that is SUPPOSED to be used with bleach.
