What is a father's recourse that had honestly overpaid child support to his X in the form of cash? Father went through the caseworker, who sent X a letter requesting amount paid. X responded with 'the little extra money that was paid I was told by the father to use as extra money for the 3 other kids'. Mind you, the 3 others living in the household are all well into adulthood! Father NEVER suggested that. RECOURSE to delete arrears that really are not?

If there is no receipt of payment, it might as well have never happened. The father has no recourse. SOrry.

If there is no receipt and no cancelled check, the payment never happened if the other party will not admit it.

Let me see a payment to a X in cash with no receipt, even I find it hard anyone would do that, and so will the courts.

If he can't prove it, he has lost it.
