    Donation deductions
How much can I deduct for contributions without a receipt? I give a lot in donations of cash -anywhere from 5-100 dollars with out a receipt.

    Thanks

By IRS rules, for all cash donations - no matter how small - you should have either a receipt or a bank record (such as a cancelled check or credit card statement), In practice however, unless the total amount of donations you claim is excessive or you have some other audit trigger in your return it shouldn't be an issue. My advice is keep a list of all donations in your records, in case the IRS follows asks for details.
