I have just hooked up my desk top computer where my laptop used be on the internet. I can log on and use the internet for about a hour or two but then I loose connection to the internet and have to restart my computer in order to get the connection back. Are my settings causing this problem and if not what is? I do appreciate any suggestion at all.

It could be a number of things with that description. You need to give us many specs before we can answer this question:

1. What type of internet do you have? Broadband or dialup, dsl or cable, connected through a router or directly to the modem?

2. What type of Operating System are you running? Windows, Mac, Linux?

That's seems like enough info for now. Otherwise you could always contact your internet service provider... I'm sure they would more than willing to figure things out for you.
