    Incomplete abortion Case
My sister had an incomplete abortion diagnosis. After the curettage the doctor got something from me and send it to a laboratory for dialysis. I would like to know if they would detect if she committed an induced abortion or not. Does the histopathology reveals all that happened before the abortion?

First, let me say that while I'm a bit unclear as to the circumstances you write and "incomplete abortion" is another term for "missed miscarriage". I myself had a natural miscarriage because the baby stopped developing but its coined "incomplete abortion" because my body failed to... well, they had to operate to remove the fetal tissue. In other words, and incomplete abortion does not necessarily mean she did something intentionally to remove the fetus. Its typically meant that the baby passed away and her body did not expel the remains properly.

What "something" was tested? What test was being performed and why?

It depends on what they are looking for to know they may find. Most often tests are done to look at genetics and see if there is a role they're playing in why the fetus did not develop properly.
