    Dad don't want daughter
    Hello I have been trying to figure this out for 2 years now and have not got no were.my daughter is a 9 year old beautiful smart and loving person.I just do not understand how here dad could not want her after all that time and now wants to give up his rights to her and I do not even know were to began,who I talk to or were to go can I get some help and support please

    He can't give up his rights regardless to what he said to you. Maybe he doesn't know the law however you can't make him be in your daughter's life but you can make him support her by getting a child support order.

    I am sorrry this happen because I don't understand how a father can turn their back on their child and live with themselve. Sadly, maybe, later in in life he is going regret this and try to be part of her life and she is going close the door.

    In the meantime don't let him scare you by what is sayind because many deadbeat fathers have tried doing what he said and failed and he is going too.

    As Liz said, the courts are not going to allow him to terminate his rights. But you can't force him to be a father. All you can force him to do is support her.

    Make sure you file for child support and enforce it.
