    Visitation rights for non-supportive father
Hello, my brother and his ex-wife got divorced about 3 years ago. They have a 7 year old daughter and she lives with her mother in California. He hasn't seen his daughter since she was 3 or 4. He can't afford to visit her and apparently the mother can't afford to send her to NYC. The mother has not taken him to court for child support. He has been unemployed for about 3 years now and has not been able to send money on a consistent basis. He talks to her on the phone every few weeks. He is utterly heartbroken with not having seen his child for so long. Is there anything my brother can do to see his child? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Move to California, get both him and the child a camera for the computer so they can share time though a conference by web.

And why has he been out of work for 3 years, I mean within 3 years McDonald has been hiring at least.

The web conference is a pretty good idea. He has been in school for 1.5 years of the 3 years. For the other half, he just didn't have a job. I agree with you that he should just find any job that will take him but that isn't really what I wanted to talk about. I just wanted to know if he had a legal leg to stand on considering the circumstances.
