    Replacement screw
Please let me know if you can send me a screw for drain cover.No.42213
I have one short screw and one longer screw. I need 2 short ones for this to work and am having problems getting one from Home Depot where I purchased it.

We don't send out replacement parts. Only give advice on how to use them.

Go to hardware store and get a nut that is the same thread if they don't have a shorter screw

Put nut on screw and cut with hack saw to the length u want. When u take nut off, it will repair thread at the cut. Then u can use it

    KISS

    Creahands:

Almost. Put nut on screw. Mark length. Make sure nut is past mark.
Put a double nut at place where screw needs to be cut.

Alighn hack saw against double-nut. Cut. Take off one nut, but leave one on. Screw toward head. File and/or sand the burrs off the cut screw.
    Remove nut.

It's a bit more complicated, but without the complication, the screw will be hard to start.

I like that kiss I have never had trouble with single nut but your way with the 2 nuts does make a lot of sense. Will try it that way next time I have to cut a screw
    Thanks

    Hi Mtpegg,
If you can't do as Creahands and KeepitSimplestupid suggested, I would ask you to go to an Ace Hardware store they find you a correct length screw if not they will cut one you, good luck.
