I just installed a double kitchen sink in new home. Turns out I stubbed the drain up from the crawl space on what is now the disposer side of sink.(Smaller sink basin). Its about 8" toward rear. Seems I usually see the disposer drain run horizontally over to the tail piece from other sink and then T down to trap.
I could move the rough -in,do I need to?

A picture of your layout would help very much.
You may be able to use a 45 fitting to go over to the waste side of trap. It should get you close enough to were the swing of the trap will still work. You May need to use a center oulet waste for this to work. I don't think you will have to redo your roughin. There are ways to work around this. Please let me know what you think.

This happens all the time. You rough in, then the homeowner says they want the garbage disposal on the other side of what the sink was roughed in for. Just need to make it work. I know some will tell you that you can't have 45s or 90s in trap arm, but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. It will work, and I haven't found an inspecter that will call you on it.

The way I rough in when I have a double sink is to use a 2" PVC to come up in the wall, centered on the double sink. I then stub out with a 2' X 1 1/2" double wye. I then put a clean out in the open of the wye and one 1 1/2 PVC going to the sink drain and one 1 1/2 PVC going to the disposal.

How are you planning to vent this? If your local code allows aav vents then I would just put in a tee and angle it toward the left side of sink. (dry fitting is a great idea here, to make sure trap will work) Then on the top of the tee install your aav(like I said if code allows). Make sure you are low enough with your tee to avoid clearance problems with the garbage disposal. If its easy to move the drain from right to left, then I would suggest this. Just means there will be a whole that needs to be covered where existing drain is. I would have liked to see the drain in the wall, with a vent running up out the roof, but it looks like this would be a bit of a chore now. Is this job being inspected? If so, make sure aav vents are allowed and you should be just fine. If aav vents are not allowed and the job is being inspected, then I suggest you halt further carpentry work until vent issue is addressed. Please let me know more about the project(inspection, and or vent code requirements in your area). All in all I think an aav is going to be your best bet. Then just use necessary fittings to make connections under sink.. Once again, dryfitting will make this a lot easier. Good luck and please let me know how things turn out. Keep me posted meanwhile.

I am going to T up from drain for an AAV.
That said can't I just angle drain from this T right to left and put a trap in somewhere between the 2 sinks?
Job is definitely to be inspected-Is there code about vertical distance from fixture to trap?

The gentleman who answered second got me thinking along lines of joining the 2 sink bowls more towards the middle of same.

I do have a generous crawl space and can well move the rough in to the left side if need be.

Do as MGD77 said. Install San-T, and piece of pipe upwards with AAV vent at top of it. See photo for drain assembly.

We never try to install drain in the center under double sink. But either side is fine. It may be little crowded behind GD but it is doable.

Only thing to add is that you want to install a 2" cleanout under the sink... called a test tee or dandy cleanout.

Keep the cleanout tight to the bottom of cabinet and then install the sanitary tee at about 15" to center from FINISH FLOOR... not from cabinet base! Then pipe to ptrap, etc...
