    Conduit requirements for basement wiring
I am finishing a basement with stud wall and dry wall. Is there any need for conduit to carry the wires behind the dry wall? I know for an unfinished basement wiring below grade must be in conduit but must it if the walls are finished?
    Thanks

Romex and plastic boxes is fine for a stud wall basement. Just follow the rules for Romex in wood frame. If using steel stud be sure to use the proper bushings for each cable that passes through a stud hole.
