It appears you have restricted water supply for the entire house. It may be closed main valve or faulty pressure regulator.
Were there any repairs made to your house in recent days? Did you Close main water for any reason lately ? Are you on City supply or Well ? Please, provide these details... Thank You
We have our own well.. No repairs, didn't close the main water, just stopped working
It may be your pump. See if the electrical breaker in ON position. See if you can hear pump running... and acutally pumping water
It sounds like you have problem with your pump pressure, Thanks.
John
Yeah turned it off and then on no sound at all..
New Pump then? Thanks for your help.
You may have somebody to take a look at it first. It may be matter of bad switch, loose wire or so. But if the pump is older, replace it. Your whole house depends on it. Therefore it should be in excellent operating condition. Let us know how you did...
Yep I agree with Milo's excellent advice, Thanks.
John
Dibba, if you are comfortable working with the electrical side of things, check your switch. The points should be closed. If they are closed, use a voltmeter to see if you are getting power through the points to the pump.
BTW, is this pump above ground or below ground?
Jlisenbe is correct about the switch. It is the control switch for the pump .turns pump on when pressure is not high enough. Most in my area turn pumps on when pressure drops to 20 and off when it gets to 50. The switch on my unit is located on the pump side of the pressure gauge. It has a nut screw that holds on cover. When u remove cover u will see the contacts. If they are closed pull them apart with insulated screwdriver.putting screwdriver on the bakerlite backing plate. U should get a small spark. If no spark check main braker and make sure it is on. If contacts are open push closed and see if pump goes on. U can here the pump if u put your ear to pipe. If pump does not go on with contacts closed the switch is probably the culprit.
Hope is helps
Good luck
Chuck
