Hi, I've had strong pregnancy symptoms,NUMEROUS positive hpts,and a positive urine test at my dr. offfice.Then the other day I had a small amount of spotting and was advised to the ER.At the ER the ultrasound showed nothing there and my hcg was 2.
My cervix was closed though.I have not gone on to have any more bleeding and I am still getting positve hpts two days later.My question is can I still be pregnant when a blood test registers as negative?

It could be you were indeed pregnant but it did not take. Depending on how early you are, and how they did the ultrasound, they may find it very difficult to see anything just yet.
Since there was no final determination, check with your doctor. The usual course of action would be to schedule another blood draw to look for an increase in hcg and ultrasound (transvaginal) after a period to see what development may have taken place.
