Ask Me Help Desk - What should I do?

Ok well me and this girl I'm friends with have been really good friends for about a year and a half now but she was dating her boyfriend during that time and even though we hung out a lot we remained strictly friends.she told me last summer that she had feelings for me and I told her the same thing but I never tried to make a move on her until she came up with a decision between me and her boyfriend.well anyway in the end she said she couldn't do it anymore and picked her boyfriend and I was devastated and didn't talk to her for weeks.. we were able to repair our friendship but nothing like it was our senior year in high school.. well I figured that her and her boyfriend were going to be together for a long time so I just kind of blew her off and chilled with other girls.. well last week her and her boyfriend broke up and I was happy because I figured hey its all me now I can finally have her to myself.. well we go to the same college and I heard her talking to her friends about some dude who she had been textin all night and day and how the were suppose to hangout this weekend and I was heated.. so anyway I went up to her work to get a book that I needed from her and there he was the new guy she was talking to.. I was real short with her and had a smirk on my face as I was leaving... I know this is a lot of ramblin but I jjust don't get it.. she told me she had feelings for me for about a year now and then when she leaves her boyfriend,she finds some random kid.. I know she still has feelings for me but I refuse to be a 2nd option again... I can't sleep right because I think about her all the time... we were the closest of closest you could get without dating and now this... what should I do?I don't know if she is trying to get to me or what.I wish I could move on but no girl makes me feel the way she does... blahhhh thanks for whoever replies sorry for the bad grammar its real late

I think that she likes you but wants to see if you is who she wants(testing the waters).So I think you should continue to have friends and enjoy yourself because you are too young and life is too short to live off what if.If it's meant to be it will be because no one can change fate.Hope I helped!

In all the time you've known her, she was with her boyfriend, and when she discovered she had feelings for you, she still chose her boyfriend. And if I'm reading this right, when her and her boyfriend finally broke up, she finds someone new.

You were never her boyfriend, and I think that she will regret not forging a relationship with you. Why? Because you had the grace to give her space to make up her mind when she was with boyfriend @1, and wait for her to make up her mind. And, you gave her the gift of your friendship, which is always the best way to build any relationship foundation.

I do think it is her loss, and although you still have feelings for her, clearly, you can do better. Your question of what should you do- I would let that fish swim back into the sea, and find yourself someone else.

Should she find her way back you to, be very careful. She may just need a 'friend' again, and use you until she moves onto the next guy.

You have been patient and understanding, you have been upfront with her and given her space... but she did choose her boyfriend over you once, and when she got rid of him she started seeing someone else.

You are both young and she is prob just trying things out and living life and experiencing different things, but I honestly don't think you should sit around and wait for her, my advice would be to take this as a NO GO and find a way to get over her and move on.

If she did have the sort of feelings for you, like you have for her, she might still have stayed with her boyfriend, but she would prob have come to you by now and she hasn't, so for your own sake you should get over her somehow. Life is just too short.

And like Jake said, this truly is her loss and you can do better.

PS: you say no other girl makes you feel like she does, but you're still young and when you have moved on from this... who knows? Suddenly you might meet a girl who will make you feel even better; someone who feels the same way you do...

You need to separate your feelings for her from the friendship and if you can't-then maybe it isn't in your best interest to be friends with her right now.

You can't assume that just because she broke-up with her boyfriend, she would come running to you. Remember you went down this road with her already and the outcome wasn't good.

It doesn't matter if she talks or get involve with any guy right now because it would just be a rebound relationship and these kind of relationship is never good.

She is always on your mind because your thinking about too much. So what you need to do is take the focus out of her and get out and find your happiness instead of being stuck on what could have happen between you and this girl. Your be amaze at what you can find.
