    Getting tile grout off
Can I get old ceramic tile grout(adhesive) off using a heat source like a paint stripper??

We want to paint where tiles used to be

Which is tile grout or tile adhesive?

If it old grout then muriatic acid.

If its adhesive try mineral spirits or "Goof off" which works on sticker adhesive or paint drops/drips.

Heat gun may soften it and also the adhesive holding the actual tile.
If the wall with the adhesive on is drywall I would coat the total wall with drywall compound or glue and screw a 3/8 drywall piece up to cover the wall and start fresh.
