Ok my dilema is this I am being contracted from a company overseas to provide contact center services for them,I make the sales and they close the deals. What bother me is that the info on the contact belongs to another company, when I spoke with them, they said they bought that company. They are registered under the name that's on the contract , however the info doesn't match

e.g..
Jim's ware of 44 sea street,agusta gorgia,but this address actuallybelongs to Bob's ware of 44 sea street,agusta gorgia(They bought bob's) and jim's ware correct address and company number is something else.

Will this be void if I sign it?

You're doing business with a company who is providing materials with another company's name on it. You're concerned. You asked them about it. They said they bought that company. That explanation doesn't sit well with you.

In any event, I don't believe the contract you signed with them will be void. It wouldn't have anything to do the work they're having you do. I don't know what they're doing, but if it bothers you, I would find a way to end your association with them.

Ok, first I will say that a lot of scams happen every day with companies over sea asking people from the US to take in money from sales for them,
If it is something like this, it is a big scam.

But if you are concerned, check with the local BBB if they are a US firm and see if they have had complaints under either name. Ask them for a copy of their business licence and references

If a new company has bought the old one, they should not mind merely furnishing you a new contract with their name on it.

This is actually a uk company and I am not in the us, they just registered a couple a days ago, as I said before the contract has the name of the company that just registered but address and company number of the company they said they bought. I have been doing my research and they seem OK, but the other questions is should I I have never seen the persons, I only spoke with them.

Good Warnings given* this does smell like a Scram... check for verification of the company's existence with the Department of Commerce and with most states for example Georgia has a Department of Consumer Affairs or a Consumer Protection Agency... verify.. verify... any contact should reflect the company's information and its do and will and do no-ts... any statement written short of this... does not deserve your attention..

I have seen this same scenario as a scam more than once. If they ask you to accept money orders or checks and deduct your cut and send them the rest... this is a scam, as the money orders are bogus and you will be left with no money in your account and liable for any cash you have sent. No reputable company needs a go between to cash checks or money orders that's what international banks are for. If this is the service you will be providing steer clear. Do not give them any important info either as this can lead to identity theft.

I agree with t-man,and luna... to me this has scam written all over it. I hope you haven't started giving them info. I worry about your identity stolen and you suddenly have no money. I would check with places luna gave you. I really wouldn't trust this.
