How to read Vista Zip files on Windows XP
I have two computers. One has Windows Vista, and the other has Windows XP. I downloaded some zip files on Vista and then burned them to a CD-R disc. When I put this disc into my XP computer, autorun did not start. And when I clicked on the actual icon in "my computer", it gave me the message that the files may be corrupt or in a format unreadable by the computer. Can anyone help??

Try copying the files to your PC. If you tried opening directly from the CD, it may not have been able to create the temp files needed when opening a ZIP archive.

It sounds like a bad CD-burn to me. I'd try re-burning the CD and trying again.

I agree that it could be a bad CD-ROM. I would also recommend installing WinRAR to unzip all of your files. Both the Vista and XP compression algorithms are terrible.
