Hello, I'm a mother of a beautiful soon to be two year old Princess... after I had my baby girl at my PP apointment I got my Mirena(IUD) inserted. Everything was pretty normal, the first month I experienced the side effects that my doctors told me that I would and then after that everything stop and has been going smoothly. But however about two months ago me and my boyfriend stopped using protection. About a week and half ago I started having signs of a pregnancy. I feel exactly how I felt when I was pregnant with my daughter. I am always tired(and I'm normally full of energy), I am always hungry(and I'm not one to eat much) and I wake up feeling very nausea, also when I was pregnant with my daughter toothpaste made me very nausea every morning and that's starting to happen again. I am scared as ever that I am pregnant. I have been on the internet all day doing research and I was >SHOCKED< to find out that so many women has become pregnant while using the Mirena. I am even more scared that if I am pregnant, that the baby will be at risk. I have been trying get an appointment with my mid-wives, but they are all booked up. I don't know what to do. So what I wanted to know is if there is anyone that can give me any advice and have anyone gotten pregnant while on the Mirena?

Pregnancy does sometimes happen with a coil... no birth control is 100% effective. Have you tried a pregnancy test yet?
