    Travel on dependent visa H4
    HI,

I came to USA on F2 visa and my status has changed to H4 since last Oct. I am planning to go for a vacation outside US and my new visa has not yet been stamped. Can I have my visa stamped before returning to US even if my husband's visa (H1) has not been stamped?

    Thanks in advance.

Much better for both of you to apply at the same time. AMCON can issue the H-4 without the H-1B, but best to check directly with the consulate to be sure they will accept the case. If so, bring the H-1B approval notice, copy of the H petition, marriage certificate, evidence husband is working for and maintaining that status (paystubs), etc.

Please note that if you are vacationing outside of the US and not in your home country, check to see if the AMCON will accept out of district applicants (TCN).

I hope this helps, if it does, rate my answer. Good luck!
