In the state of Florida, what is the legal age to leave children alone for the day? (I have 7 and 9 year old step kids who's mother leaves them alone while she works.)

In Florida they basically do a case by case determination with the children. Some children can be considered okay to be alone at age 7 or 9 and some can't. You need to call up and ask them what they determine is okay.
