Clawfoot tub solution for wall supply lines instead of floor
We are finishing our basement and in the bathroom we are putting in a clawfoot tub. My husband put the supply valves in the wall because he was afraid of freezing in the floor. But because of this we cannot find any supply lines that come from the wall they all come from the floor. Is there anything we can do or does any one know what we can do to make it look great with them coming from the wall? Or do we need to rearrange the lines to the floor instead of wall? Can we fashion anything to work?

    Thanks so much

What's the problem here? They have chrome over soft copper supply lines at least 36 inches long, (see image) These supplies can be bent and configured to any angle. Let me know why these won't work. Tom

Agree with Tom. Additionally, these supply lines come in about every finish you want. At the same time, you can buy angle stops and escutcheons of the same finish as water supplies.

When I said we cannot find any supply lines I was talking about the supply lines that are repro's of the vintage lines that used to come from the clawfoot tubs. You can purchase them as a set from many different online stores. We cannot find lines like those... from the wall to the tub. Only lines from the tub to the floor.

If these lines you are suggesting will look proper exposed i.e.. Like the ones that you are supposed to use with these tubs, then I will try them. Can I purchase them at any general home store?
    Thank you for your response

I don't think you will get those in any general store: go to Restoration Hardware, or Ferguson Enterprises, or Pacific Sales - they will order them for you. ( maybe even Home Depot / Special Order desk - from catalog )
