    Hot water heater pipes leaking
    Hi,
    This morning my hot water heater was leaking from the pipes on top and I want to know is reason to get a new hot water heater or is there a fix for this problem?

    Karen, there are normally 2 pipes going straight into the top of the heater and then one coming out of the side. Which pipe is leaking and is there a fitting or connection right at that spot? In the meantime, close your main and drain some water from the plumbing system to avoid damage to the home.

    Karen, if they are water heater flex connectors that leak than you just replace them with new ones. You can buy them in Home Depot at cost of about $10.00 each.
