I just filled the 1040 on line, then I realized that I should not fill this as a non-resident, so what can I do?

What can I do?
File amended tax return Form 1040X along with properly done nonresident tax return and Form 8843 (if required).

What if a non-resident filed 1040?
What action did IRS take in such cases, needs to be explored? I don't have answer.
