    1099 int
How do I file just a 1099 int for an unemployed person? This is the only form they have for 2008.

    Thanks!

1099-INT is a report of interest earned, typically from a bank savings account or some other institution paying interest. You need to include it on schedule B and line 8A of form 1040. However, if this is the only reportable income your income may be below the minimum required to file a return - see the instructions for form 1040 to see if you have to file:

If 1099-int is the only income, you are not required to file tax return if your income is below the filing requirement.
