    J1 Cultural interchange Visa Taxes
    Hello!

I have J1 taxes in the 2008 year,
But my Federal income tax withheld is only $66.75, and my state income tax is $27.

Some webs charge me with fee of $50, and takes between 90-120 days.

    I can do it myself??
    And how??

    Thanks so much beforehand

On J1 (intern) you are exempt from residency for 2-years. You must file non-resident tax return Form 1040NR-EZ or 1040NR and Form 8843.

Yes, you can do it yourself. Note that you can not file nonresident tax return online. It must be paper return.
