    WEB Page For LAN?
    Hi Everyone!
Can Anyone Tell Me How Can I Setup Web Page For Our LAN Network?

I Visited An Internet Café I Asked What You Have On Your Server? He Said Type www.vtcs.net I Put That Address & A Web Site Opened Up Showing All The Contents Of His Server In WEB PAGE form and when I Tried To Open That Address From Home (Dialup) Error Came That Web Site Not Found. Later He Told Me There Is FTP Or else Is Used For Such Web Pages!

Please Guide Me Or Send Me Link That Has Such Tutorials:)

    Thank You!!

I do NOT recommend running a WEB server on your home LAN. If you want to run a WEB server for testing pages internally, or if want to run an INTRANET you can use IIS which comes with Windows or Apache which is open source.

But if you wan a page accessible from outside your LAN, then I strongly recommend using a WEB host. With hosting costs starting around $5/mth, it just doesn't pay to do it yourself.
