    Breastfeeding
If I breastfeed will it make my nipples a little bit bigger? :D

    Myth
I don't think so, although it might in some women utill you stop b/f. Pregnancy will however darken the areola... the skin around your nipples.

Well, they will get larger as your breasts increase in size, at least the areola will.

However, the "tip" of the nipple will stretch and look almost like "high beams" when you are cold. This does not return to pre-nursing stage.

Sorry Myth, but it does change the nipple permanently. The baby is suckling and streching out the nipple. Unfortunately it does not return to pre-pregnancy state.

I was very self conscious after I nursed my first and asked my plastic surgeon about it (cancer reconstruction). He told me that it is a permanent change and one that is impossible to fix without major reconstruction. In my case, breast cancer, the nipple had to be completley removed and a new one created.

    Myth
I never really had the chance to breastfeed my older children so I wasn't certain. The only thing I knew for sure was that the areola got darker and larger. I'm glad you straightened that out. I hate giving bad advice and will definitely file that one away for future use... lol. Thanks
