    Now irregular periods
I'm 14, 2 months away from being 15,I started my period when I was 11, not unusal, I was the last of my friends actually. And for the first year or two, they were regular. Four days every month, predictable, bla bla bla. But the past year or so (I don't exactly remember when this started happening, a year or more ago), they started coming later, sooner, I think I've even missed a month, and they've lasted way longer than four days. When it first started happening, my period lasted five days, then a few months later, six, and now it can go on for seven or more. I read somewhere that it can take up to three years for your period's schedule to be come normal. But I'm just confused because it started normal, and then it wacked out. I know girls with irregular periods, and there's usually nothing wrong with it. But why was it regular and then irregular? I'm not having sex, never did, I eat pretty healthy, could it be stress? I was stressed when they were regular too? Help me! I'm not scared there's something wrong, I just want to know why it did this.

I really wouldn't worry sweetie, my periods started when I was 12 and didn't really settle down until I was 16. Some people are just prone to irregular periods to. I'm 24 now and still sometimes have an extra light or extra heavy period that may come early or late so there still sometimes unperdictable. Its all part of being a woman. If your still worried though you should speak to your doctor or a female relative you can trust I'm sure they will put your mind at rest and please don't be embarrassed your doctor sees these things every single day.
