I have been taking ovulation tests for about a month and I finally tested positive. I had intercourse to try to get pregnant during the 48 hours now how long should I wait to take a pregnancy test and be sure it will show up?

Wait until you miss a period. Testing before that, even when the tests say they can tell is going to be a waste of money and probably end up with a false negative. If you have missed your period and you do get a negative just wait a week and retest. The levels of hcg in your urine might not be high enough to be detected as early as a single missed period. Also, use your first morning urine to test with since it will have the highest concentration of hcg in it.

Along with Myth's answer, I would like to add...

Do not have sex every night. That will lower the sperm count... every other night is better.

And try to keep his testicles cool... i.e. boxers not briefs and staying out of the hot tub...
