First - thanks for the opportunity to get answers here.
We live in a Post and Beam home with a second floor bathroom. The entire bathroom is raised on a platform. We need to have some fixtures replaced and I wanted to find out if it is possible to have a panning system installed under the platform to divert water in case there are any leaks in the future. I know that this exists for washing machines.

This is a first for me and I've been plumbing for over 50 years. But yes! Anything's possible in plumbing if you have the space and the $.
Is there a bathroom sized pan you can slip under the plumbing and drain to the outside? No there isn't but a pan could be constructed out of Blue Compaseal
Depending on how much space under the plumbing that you had to work with.
Would this be cost effective, or even necessary? In my opinion it wouldn't.
However I want to thank you for starting my day off with such a novel conception.

Thank you so much for your quick response and honest answer.

I guess we will probably not pursue this idea right now, but if we were ever to do a complete remodel of the 2nd floor bathroom, I think it would be worth it. There are a few small stains on the pine ceiling of the 1st floor.

You could hot-mop entire floor ( or install PVC liner ) and with drain in the middle. It is kind of overkill though...

By "Hot-Mop" do you mean steam cleaning the pine floor and 1st floor ceiling? Will that remove the water stains?

By "hot mop" I meant to water proof the upstairs bathroom floor by installing waterproofing barrier over subfloor. Just like waterproofing custom made shower pan.
