I have recently been experiencing the same type of dream every night for over a week now. The dream is always different, but has one connecting factor being that it always ends in an orgasm (I am female by the way), I am not sure if I am actually experiencing the orgasm or if I am just dreaming it but it never fails I wake up right as it is happening. It was kind of funny the first couple times and I had a good chuckle about it, but now that it has been continuing for so long I am sort of confused and wondering what might be the cause. Any interpretations or theories?

How old are you? Could be signs of something else.

I don't think it is uncommon, and there may be a reason you are having them... but I believe it is normal... they should go away, may come back off and on...

Erotic dreams that result in arousal or even orgasm are not that uncommon and not just a stage of development for adolescent boys. I have experienced just what you described several times in my life and it was definitely fuled by the lack of sexual release over time. The first time it happened I was confused and uncertain too but it occurred repeatedly, causing me to acknowledge it. Oddly enough, the dreams themselves weren't all that erotic but my reaction while asleep sure was. Relax and enjoy them-- I sure did! :p
