My husband and I have lived next door to a man for 8 yrs . We have been verbally abused, harassed. The last straw was when he called me a ing . Do I have any recourse in court?:mad::mad::confused:

Most likely not, you need to get all of this on recording, esp if there are minor children present ( Some states have laws making it illegal to use certain talk in front of children

I agree - not likely unless there are threats of violence. He is entitled to express his opinion, unfortunately for you.

I had a neighbor who used to yell and scream vulgarities at my family (the worst you could possibly say). When the police were called I was told that if I didn't like what the man was spewing out I could take my child and go indoors. Vulgarity wins. Sorry. Also making recordings aren't going to stand up as there is no way to validate that the voice on the tape is your neighbor. Been there, done that. Doesn't work.
