What model fan do you have, and what type of switches?
Note to anyone else responding: Casablanca is not the same as an ordinary ceiling fan.

I have a Ventura model with W-32 intelitouch controls. They are used as 3-way switches. Is there a way to trouble shoot the controls before I buy 2 new ones? Can I check anything with a digital VOM? Thanks for your help.
Not really. But if you have two controls, and NEITHER is working, chances are it is the circuit boards in the fan and not the controls. It is also possible a power surge fried both controls.
If it was my fan, I would remove the fan and both controls (making note of how everything was wired) and bench test the motor with one control at a time. If you can find another InteliTouch motor or control you can then also use that to test the other.
Sorry I can't be more help. Casablanca Fan Repair is Casablanca authorized repair parts and service, you can see if they have any other suggestions.
Thanks for the info. I didn't think about wiring the W-32 contols as single pole and testing each separately.
Let me know how it turns out.
