    Birth certificate surname
    Hello

I am recently divorced and at this time retained my married surname. My divorced ex husband is not the father and I will not be reverting back to my maiden name before the birth.

I ask if I am able to put my maiden name upon my child's birth certificate or if I have to firstly revert to my maiden name.

I look forward to your reply.

I'm assuming the child is not born yet. If so, you can use your maiden name for the child's name.

You have the legel right to keep your exhusband's surname. Until you change it legelally ( very expensive )
If I understand your question, the name that you are NOW! Is what you place on the baby's birth certificate, but there is a place on the birth certificate to put your maided name.
Just look at your mother\father's birth ctfs
