If she is going to continue school he is still responsible.
Does the court orders say he is still responsible until she is 21 or anything that might say that will obligate him.
If not he needs to go to child support court and file that she is now 18 and he is no longer required.
If he is behind in support he still has to pay that.

This should be spelled out in the court order. Many support orders state until 18 or completion of schooling. If this is not spelled out in the court order, then local law will govern. So he may need to find out what the law is for where the child lives.

This is a family law question, not corporate law - if you search out questions by State you will find lots of answers.

Otherwise the previous advice has been 100% solid.
