canon ip 3000 pixma printer head problem
Printer about 1 year old. The black only sporadically prints on a page. Some lines print out faintly, others not at all. The ink is 80% full, ran several cleanings and deep cleanings to no avail. I was printing several pages and this happened all of a sudden. I believe it has something to do with a clogged printer head, but no easy way to access and remove this to clean it.

The built in maintenance tools don't seem to help much.

This happened once before a month ago and I got it to work by fiddling with it. Now again I ran many of the print head cleanings and extreme cleanings. Im not sure what made it start working again, but on the first GOOD test page, it also kicked out a 1" x 1/4 piece semi-rectangular of clear thin flexible rubber piece that was covered in ink. This piece has 2 holes, about 1/32 inch in diameter, 1 round, 1 oval.

Now I don't know where this piece goes. Or what exactly I did to get it printing properly.
