    Gas vx. Oil Heat
We have just found out that we have access to natural gas. We are looking to replace our electric heat pump and furnace with either a natural gas furnace or oil furnace. What would be the most economical way to go? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would talk to someone in your area /or the gas /oil companies,, and see about which is cheaper,, I do know that there are a lot more BTU`s (is hotter) in oil compared to gas,, also you need to compare the cost of the equipment plus the maintenance of keeping them going afterwards,, it seems that oil needs a lot more tender-loving care than what a gas furnace needs,, and the experience of the installers is very important
