What special traits did you inherit from your father and your mother ?
Are there any that you inherited from your grand parents ?
It has been said that some traits do miss a generation.

One physical trait that runs in my family, on my mothers side, are very large eyes and eyelids. I can usually recognise any relative easily, and so can others. This includes sisters, brother, neices, nephews, grandparents, great grandparents aunts, uncles, 1st cousins, 2 and even third cousins.

People notice us because of our eyes and many will give very nice compliments. However, this trait wasn't so much fun in school. Even to this day, and if I run into the boys that used to tease me and call me names like bug eyes, cow eyes, things like that, will still say it. Only these days, they will turn around and hit on me. Then I get to laugh at them! ;)

The flip side of the coin is, that although most have really good vision well into their 50's or 60's, there are many who develop cataracts. It's sure not something to look forward to!

Physically, people tell my brother and me that we are exact replicas of my father. If you place a picture of my father when he was about 6 years old, and one when I was about 5, and one when my brother was about 6, even I can't tell the difference. I also inherited a distinct red birthmark my mother has on her scalp, and so did my brother.

Emotionally, I am a mix of both of my parents. I have my father's temper but my mother's calm nature... so I guess I lucked out.
