I have a sharp video cassette recorder (vc-h965u ) with ez set up . I had a power outage . When power was lost there was a tape in the player . The power came on after one hour . The cable is and was connected and ez set up started with a cassette in the player . The power button was pressed while set up was running . Now nothing will respond at all . The power light comes on when plugged in and that's it. I unplug it and wait a few min. still nothing . Any help ?

Obviously, something burned out when the power came back on. This isn't uncommon. Sometimes you can get your homeowners insurance to reimburse you for the device.
