    probate waiver
My son, who was in Bagdad at the time(he has just gotten back in the USA and is on his way home) was sent a probate waiver by his step sisters, the step sisters have already taken everything that they wanted out of house. Car, tractor. House is worth something. According to Xhusbands will, one step daughter is awarded 2/3 because the other sister was going through a divorce, my son 1/3, I do not trust step daughters, and I am concerned for our son, what should he watch out for? Step daughters will not give him the couple of little things that he has asked for that was his fathers. I am a concerned mom who's only interest is my son's.. The X has ignored our daughter as if she never existed. I want my son protected. What should he look out for in this "waiver"
    thank you

A "waiver of probate" or "probate waiver" may be different in the various states. For that reason, your son should get legal advice from an attorney licensed to practice in the state of residence of his Dad.
