    Ceiling fan remote
I have a Harbor Breeze hand held remote connected to my ceiling fan. It was working fine then all of a sudden the button for the light fixture stop working. The three speeds for the fan continues to work, it's just the light that stopped working. I have tried a different remote and it does the same thing. Also the remote from this fan works fine on a different fan. It controls there fan and the light. Any suggestions?

Test the bulb and then also test the light socket for power at the receiver in the canopy. If the receiver is putting out power when you push the light button then you know it's the bulb, the socket or the wire connection and not a bad remote or receiver. If there is no power coming from the receiver then its likely the remote or receiver. Come back and tell us more when you can.

The light bulbs work when I turn them on with the switch. The handheld remote works the fan speeds and the remote works fine on another fan, lights and fan speeds. It just won't control the lights on this fan, the other remotes I have, which are all the same type, do the same thing on this fan, they control the fan speeds but not the lights.

Sounds like the receiver is shorted.

Contact Harbor Breeze for a replacement receiver.

My name is alfred and I'm connecting a new ceiling fan to a remote wireless.

    Ceiling fan:(Blue wire)-(orange wire)-(black wire)-(white wire) & of course green.

    Wireless Remote:(Black wire power)-(White wire Neutral)-(white wire Common)-(Black wire Out, Fan)-(Red wire Out,Light)

White wire/ black wire from house ceiling.

Remote and control box are set 1-2-3 up... same freq.

Please give me a wiring connection diagram.
The direction manuals were thrown away.
From both the remote and ceiling fan.

Doesn't sound like the remote control box that came with the fan is correct, as the wires don't match up.

How many lights does the fan have? One on top and one on bottom, or just one?
