Can you eliminate mineral deposit build-up in galvanized pipes with out replacing the whole system?
Sorry! If that could be done I would do it in my old 54 year old home. I have galvanized pipes also that are loaded with iron oxide. The only cure that I know of is a repipe job. Rust, (iron oxide) in pipes,(see image) will cut down on both volume and pressure. Good luck, Tom
Tom is right on the money, there's no fix and a galvanized pipe has likely done more than build up minerals, it's slowly losing wall thickness and will eventually leak.
