    Breaking rent to own lease
I live in Moline Illinois and have a rent to own option lease. Do to circumstances I can no longer pay the rent. How long do I have before the landlord can evict us.

Depends on local courts. Part of this will be spelled out in the contract. Once you default you become a tenant and forfeit any down payment you made.

The owner can then send you a pay or quit notice of 3-10 days. If you do neither then the landlord files for eviction. From there it depends on court calendars. I would guess 30-60 days
