    Repairing dasher in kenmore washing machine
    I have a kenmore electric washer, top load. The washer turns on, and water goes into the tub and it will drain out, However the dasher does not move. What might be wrong with the washer?

    Ahmed756- #1- check the drive belt -if loose ,tighten it , the belt may be slipping, loose, or broken;; #2pully on motor shaft loose;tighten the pully by the set screw or replace the pully;;#3agitator solenoid is defective:: check with volt ohn meter: set the meter at rx100-scale setting(note ) first pull the dryer plug out of the receptical)you will find the solenoid under the tub ,there is also the spin soleniod there: to test - disconnect one of the leads(wires) top the soleniod_clip a prob from the meter to each one of the terminals of the soleniod, if the meter reads 250ohmsto 1,000 ohms ,the solieniod is good <( if the reading is higher <the soleniod is defective -replacethe solenoids (both) if one of them are defective:: note (on some models agitate and spin is controlled by the motor ,there are no soleniods:: : #3- if no problem yet <then go to the timer switch<and it will have to be tested :(note) this needs to be done by a electrician or a appliance repairman that has the exp> to do it and can read the elect< the circuit prints :: i hope this helps you out ,if not let me know ;; have a good day
    Good luck ::f.b.e.
