My electric dryer vent from dryer to wall collects A LOT of water.
I have an electric dryer which is vented through the attic to the roof. The vent from the dryer outlet to the wall collects a *HUGE-* amount of water resulting in an excessive amount of drying time (if I'm lucky, they finally dry!). When I emptied the vent & rehooked everything up, I noted that there are now drops of condensation on the metal filter cover on the top of the machine when I opened it to check the filter. The filter also does not seem to be filtering correctly - I found lint on the outside of the filter. Can't figure out the solution to this. The dryer itself workd fine. Any suggestions??

The attic space is cold causing the suspended water vapor in the hot air dryer exhaust to condense and fall out of suspension. This in turn will cause it to puddle at the base of the fittings or anywhere else that is lower that the pipe in the attic space. You will probably have to insulate the pipe in the cold spaces or reroute the pipe to the interior space and go out a side wall.
