    Court papers
    Hi I was just wondering,, I was charged with thieft over $200 dollars and was fined $400 dollars, 29 years ago, I went to the courts and they told me my court papers was destoyed, and had a document given to me as prof,, and also have a Metis Indian Status card,, but I'm still on the police computers,, can I cross the USA border,, can any one helpout,, thanks,, Delbert Scott

    Hello Delbert:

    If you're coming from Canada, I can't imagine my government stopping your for this petty thing soooooo long ago...

    But, my government isn't as nice as I would like to think they are, so I guess it's possible. The only way to find out is to try. I certainly wouldn't inform them of this in advance.

    Homeland Security (Customs/Immigration) tap into the Police computers.

    There is a possibility that, if they run your name, you won't be allowed to cross.
