Be advised: you will probably damage the door panels, but what other choices do you have?
The only way to access the working insides of a closed/locked door is through the inside door panel. It can be pulled upward and inward to loosen the top.
But even once loose, you need to carefully examine the inner workings until you understand exactly how to unlock and then open the door.
Once the panel is moved enough to see inside, try wiggling the handles slightly until you see where the link rods go and what function they perform once they get there. Obviously, a good light to work with will be a great help.
When working inside doors, patience is a virtue. There are many tight spaces and some very sharp edges.
