Saw as a child in mid 40's. Adventure movie set in mideast/asia. One scene had a group seeking entry to a hilltop fortress. Access was via a road cut into a hillside above which were platforms of rocks which would roll down the hill into the travelers after the ropes holding the platforms were cut.
