Have only used it 3 years (the rest of the time it was in storage) so it shouldn't be doing this but anyway, a few weeks ago it started making color blocks, usually when I turned it on or when changing channels. As time has gone on it goes from color blocks to black and white blocks and now just the black screen until it warms up? Or just decides to show the pic. Sounds is just starting to be affecting with intermittant popping sound and interrupted speech sound. I cannot afford a new TV and think I have another TV I bought on CL to be delivered here but curious what the deal is with this thing. I know Apex is a off brand for? But after only 3 years use, this is pretty lousy quality. Should I give it for free to someone who may want it or just trash it? It won't blow up or anything horrendous, could it? Thanks!

If it was just the picture that was having these weird problems I would say the electron gun is near the end of it's life... but audio problems too?

It could probably be fixed but fixing it would cost more than it's worth and probably more than a new TV.
